Does this always happen to you? The other day I am driving to work in my company car (a 4 cylinder 2003 Nissan Altima); and onto the Interstate pulls a brand-new 2005, black Porsche Carrera GT. This car was awesome! He was moving along pretty good and you could see the exhaust outlets sticking out from the rear valance panel. From five cars back I could hear the pipes singing from the exotic V10 engine.
So, if I had my Corvette, and if we were on a closed road or track, and assuming that both drivers were equally skilled behind the wheel – how would have this race have turned out?
See my signature for the ECS modifications. It would have made for a great race
Porsches have been great road course cars for decades, and I suspect that the GT is at the top of the Porsche heap. You'd probably need to invest in suspension, wheel, and tire upgrades to have a shot at staying with that guy in the corners. On a technical track, he might just beat you.
