Default M12 to A4 hp. difference? Help

If I did a manual to automatic swap, what percentage difference in horsepower should I expect? Should there be a drop in horsepower with the automatic?

Autos have a little more drive train loss, but are much faster down the track.

EXPECT to make 5% less (on the average) rwhp with an A4 tranny vs. M6 or M12 but if your C5 makes 390+plus rwhp, expect to bitch slap the manaul tranny C5 in a drag race that is making 5% more rwhp than you!!

There is no doubt, when it comes to drag racing high performance cars, that you cannnot beat the consistency and ets of a point and shoot automatic!!

That was my main hang up on what Vette to buy, M6 or A4. My 1/4 mile cars have always been Autos, but sports cars should be sticks. In the end, I bought an A4.
