Coolant?
the water wetter and all the others dosent compare to the water less coolant, my 382 F1-R in the summer heat (90 temps) nevr ran over 205 all day long, now thats coolant
I'm running npg+ in my C4's 383. I like knowing that when the ECU thinks things are going to hell in a handbasket, I've got another 100 degrees in reserve.
I actually needed it as for the first few weeks the motor was mis-timed 4 degrees ATDC rather than 6-8 DBTDC. Generated a LOT of heat out the headers...coolant temp never crested 265.
Now, as long as I keep the AC off, I can't get it to go above 210...I suspect I still have some tuning to do, or I just can'te reject enough heat out the cooling stack to have the AC on on 100 degree days in Denver.
