Default cam question

is there really an impact on rwhp when adding a cam when you put a A&A P1SC on

I have seen many having Valve float at higher rpms. (5000-5500 RPM)

Is this worth the extra cash to go with a 224/224/585 cam with 918 springs?

thanks guys

car is apart now need some help deciding

Vic

The cam will make a huge difference in power. Go with something biased towards the exh. 224/228 is good and keep the lsa around 115, also run an XE style lobe. You don't need anything with a race style lobe. You won't have any valve float with the correct springs.

I am going through the same thing. My car is going to cartek (forum vender) next week for a bunch of mods. i also have a supercharger on the car at this time. I spoke to dave at carteck today and he explain everythng i need to know about a blower friendly cam. I highly recommend giving them a call. They will give you all the advice that you need. Great people. Good luck
