A&A and SDPC are known for good budget mail order motors.

W2W is a big step up, but naturally is more expensive.

I would look at Cartek, LME, W2W, LS1Speed for mail order if I ever went that route. It is much better to find a qualified builder near you that is willing to take their time.

Rick at Synergy did mine. He spends about 10-15 hours extra on a motor. He does not outsource or sell his motors on the net...Only in house.

Look at quality vs. price, jmo. Also a lot of internet sellers, do not build their own motors. You also want to make sure you get what you paid for. Beware. Beware. Beware.

If you wanted to do mailorder you really can't beat the place that built mine. I believe they do all their machine work so they know exactly what's up and can take full ownership if things aren't right. No finger pointing. One shop to deal with and they're always available, will answer any questions and are just good to work with.

My recommendation is still to go w/ someone local above anything though..
