So I suppose it will be the blue vette this year from what I hear

Camaros boost was low at the time and menthol was off. Camaro had street tires and 4 people in it with a total of 700lbs. Now thats a big disadvantage also.

The faster the car the more important good tires are.

Uh oh RICER EXCUSE ALERT

If you raced and you lost then you are NOT undefeated even if you car was not at 100%. Just say no to ricer excuses.

you have a long ways to go, seeing as at the track all year last year you could not muster better than low 11's or maybe, just maybe squeeked a 10 second pass..... i don't think you can add a supercharger to your long list of power adders

If your not ready to admit you lost, don't race.

BTW, I lost to MUCH slower cars because of a stupid problem or mistake and at the end of the day......I lost, fair and square. Thats racing!

HERE IS THE BOTTOM LINE!

did you engage in a race in any way?
that would mean "yeah i did but lost traction at the 60 ft mark then let off" that is a race.

if the answer is "yes" then it considered a race and if you lost then you lost.

end of story

do you guys agree? let me hear..

Agreed...and it applies to everything. Nobody is undefeated. I am always more impressed by the people with less who can do more...it shows you they got heart.

I really hope Mike gets his car in the 9's no matter if its on the street or the track. Except that I don't really support street racing. Get a way with why you can.

Out here in California a guy just got charged with 2nd Degree Murder (obviously it will get reduced) but that is what the DA is charging him with. What was he doing???? He was racing his Honda CRX against and ole 80's Mustang...well the guy in the Mustang crashed and killed himself...witnesses stated that the guy in the Honda didn't directly cause the accident but because he was racing the guy the Mustang...the Police showed up to where he worked (Kragen)) and arrested him for murder. So if you are racing off the track good luck to you.

lol........me when I was 16-18 years old. I used to load people up (and we were usually loaded up too ) and go out and race on the street (stupid, lucky, and lost a few friends..not because of me though). My buddies were all amazed that my 65 Mustang would chirp 4th gear.....imagine if it would have had a FI version in that car and been able to completely burn out 4th gear...but maybe that would have resulted in death at the age I was at.

What I'm trying to say is that I won a lot of street races with 4 people in the car...lost a couple too.

You have to remember Nick, did you weigh 270 at age 16? I know I didn't. So having 4 teenagers back then, is like almost having 2 of us now in a car.

Thats whats impressive about your 1/4 mile run...you have the heaviest C5 (vert), 80lbs worth of power adders up front, 17' C5 wheels w/ DRs, and you weigh 270lbs. What do you think your race weight was? I'm guessing 3700lbs.

But don't worry your new hood will shave 17lbs...maybe you will pick up .005 in the 1/4 and drop your 9 sec time even lower.

hey that worked for me when I was wrestling and doing "hare scrambles" on my dirt bike. You forget to mention making yourself puke too...that gets rid of a 1/4 oz or so.

Seriously...I haven't driven my Fbody around in awhile...it has been stored for 2 years. But it nice to be able to cruise a couple of extra people around. And I say cruise.

Oh by the way Csick...thanks for shedding some different light on some of the responses here.
