I'm about to order a diff brace (DTE). But is it really needed?
Is there alot of you going fast without it?
I have 567+rwhp, manual, RPS 3, hardened diffshaft(one side) and maybe i will try some DR's on the strip.
I think it's a worthwhile expenditure for an M6, especially one that runs DR's.
Mark
I have the brace on my car and I will not put DR's on until I can upgrade my MN6 and the Differential so I will have a better chance of staying together when I do decide to put DR's on
Why do you need it with dr's? That's all i drive around on. Is it wheel hop?
Exactly. It's the wheel hop that destroys the differential and takes out the trans at the same time. The point of the DTE brace is to contain the damage in the differential and protect the trans.
Guess i just order it then.
Does any of you have a list of every dealer selling these braces?
The reason i ask is that i want some other stuff as well and want it all shipped in the same shipment (I live in Norway,Europe...)
Everyone i have found have the same price ($379).
I ordered from SDPC.
They had it in stock (but some of the other part i "needed" was on backorder)
It should go out by the end of this week
