Default Radiator Advice

I'm looking to upgrade the radiator in my Y2k. I have A@A's Vortech kit and was looking at the OEM style high capacity from A@A. Just wondering if anyone has tried it or has any recommendations.

Thanks,

MB

I have a Dewitts and it's a complete drop in fit. The price is fair and it has formed/brazed ends. I'm happy with it and it cools very well.

I have had the Dewitts in my car since the blower upgrade and my car stays very kool and I like the fit and finish of this radiator

Tom, what sort of temperature drop can I expect with your dual core aluminum radiators? And are you using 1.00 inch or 1.25 inch cores?

With the Paxton, I'm running at 201 degrees - more than 15 degrees hotter than prior to the blower. I have a 160deg thermo and my fans are programmed to come on at (low/high) 185/195 and off at 175/185

Thanks

Stephen

Stephen,

My car runs around 185 with the AC on and we have been around 100 the last 4 days here and 205 in traffic. I use the 160 thermostat. Hope this is what you were looking to here. My buddie with the same radiator with his A4 runs about 10 degrees warmer

Steve

Sweet! Thanks!

I have an A4 but I am not going to use the radiator for tranny cooling anymore - dual tranny coolers with SPAL fans in the tail will take care of that. So it looks like the Dewitts will work for me nicely

Thanks Steve

My buddy has a seperate tranny cooler and I was thinking of upgrading to the SPAL fans if my car does run warmer this summer and my ride and buddies are blowin like yours (A&A kits with them lowered like the new ones with a special made bracket). I have also bought the LG Screen for the front license plate area and it is out for paint at the moment, oh Mike has one on his already and they really are a nice looking mod and will assist with the cooling to boot

Steve

I have a seperate tranny cooler now - but I will need 2 if I am not going to use the radiator cooler.

For front fascia cooling, I have this...
