My Supercharger install is winding down, but I've run into a dilema.
On the old air intake system, there was a sensor installed in the flattened coupler, Where should I relocate this to?
Also there was a small tube stuck in it that seems to go to the fuel rail, again where should this be relocated to ?
Thanks in advance for an advice
I’m assuming the flattened piece your referring to is air bridge and that’s your IAT (inlet air temperature) sensor. That should be located in inlet tract, before throttle body and after intercooler (assuming centrifugal supercharger Paxton, Procharger or Vortech). If it’s a Maggie then some mount in manifold (below supercharger body) while LPE mounts in inlet duct.
As far as tube going to fuel rail??? No such creature maybe take a better look and report back.

Small tube that goes from air intake to the fuel rail is the vaccum tube from the intake to the 97-98 fuel pressure regulator. You will need to tap into the vac from the brake booster line. (or whereever you tap into the vac for the blow off valve and boost gauge...)
I know this is old, but it's the very same question I have. Does anyone have a pic of where you put your IAT? I'm installing STS on a 97 and need to relocate.
Run the typhoon IAT sensor, it uses NPT thread and it won't pop out under boost. It uses the same harness connector too. I got mine for about $10.00 and welded a bung on the charge pipe.
I am not sure what parts were used. My tuner did this part for me (I forgot). I believe it is a F-body air intake sensor and rubber grommet. You can see it in the picture below.
I am running the Caspers plug. It states that it is for a GTO, but it works fine for our c5 vettes. You still need the sensor, it's 15 bucks at Autozone, 95 camaro sensor. The Caspers plug just takes care of the splice for you, and looks nice and clean.
Also if this is a return style fuel system I think the line you are talking about is the hose that goes to the regulator on the fuel rail. You can use a tee from the back of the intake and run a vacuum line to it from there.
The way I was being told was I would get the 04 z maf which has the IAT built in. Then i dont need the iat sensor at all. Then the caspers plug takes my 3 pin maf plug to a 5 pin style.
Also I agree ny return style 97 fpr needs a vacuum line to it. Can I tee in where my boost.gauge, bov, wadtegate go near the brake booster??? Thanks for all thr help.
If you have the old 3 pin, then just use it as is, and relocate the temp stock temp sensor into the intake. I drilled mine right behind the throttle body just like in the pic in this thread. What I am saying, is use your stock MAF and your stock temp sensor, but just put the temp sensor in the intake manifold. Done.
