Nick,
My son came home yesterday to this 100 degree heat. He said a warm summer day in Kodiak is 60-65. I'm not sure you'd want necessarily to move there (even though it is the second largest island in the US...right behind the "big" island in Hawaii) as there are only 50-60 miles of paved roads...not condusive to many WOT's with the Vette.

ill pull out complete drivetrain and install in 1500lbs dune buggie!
120mph powerslides! i betcha that would be more fun then ANY vette on this board!
I don't know you, but on the serious side, the car should run better in the cold air, providing the altitude isn't very high. Good luck with the move and if you ever miss hot weather, just come here to Vegas in August. LOL
