I'm not trash talking. You went out of business as did, apparently FFHP. I think we should roll out the red carpet for the both of you and pretend that nothing bad ever happened and there is no chance that future customers will get screwed.

I've only known Rob for a few months, and I was one of the first customers at his new shop. I was treated with respect and the service I received was excellent. Rob worked me in on short notice and had me finished up in 2 Days. All the questions I had with my project were discussed with Rob, and I was never pushed to the side.

I've spent alot of money with other Tuners/Shops and after the sale when I'd call back with a issue I was pushed aside, (the only exception was Rob @ UPS, Andy from A&A Corvette & Bobby/James @ KY-Speed).

Rob, keep your head up and roll with the punches, your a great guy and I wish you and UPS the BEST.

I'll be back up in a week or so.

Dude you are way off base with this comment, please speak of what you know and not of what you think.
Some of our stuff is/was at the shop Rob also works out of, we are closing the doors, not Rob or UPS. To date our customers have gotten their parts or refunds, we still have some folks to settle up with.
No FFHP customer parts will be sold out of the UPS store front. Once we are closed you won't hear my name as being back in business.

Screw it, I'm done too. I can't handle all of this bullsh!t again. No amount of money in the world could be worth this headache and aggrevation.

I leased a shop twice the size I needed, counting on FFHP to move in and pay 1/2. Long story short, I can't afford to pay it all by myself. This is the last amount of money I plan to ever lose to this industry. Like I mentioned before, from here on out, if someone wants to find me to do work for them, I can be found. Just not on the stupid-*** forums.

Chad, thanks for the kind words and support. If just half of the customers were more like you I'd never leave this business. Unfortunately that's not the case. My old cell number will be worthless after tonight. But I'll call you this weekend and give you my new number.

I'm outta here....

Wow you have raised yourself to new levels of prickdom (Even for you)with these comments. Do you have any facts to back up the crap spewing from your mouth? Probably not since you never have before. Some day karma will come to your door dude. Hope the forum knows about it when it happens.

Make it hurt!

At any rate, I sincerely wish Rob and the folks from FFHP the very best of luck in their new venture.

I don't feel I was being a ***** at all in raising a question that many were thinking.

I'm sure many people thought I was being a ***** when I called APE out.. Guess what happened?

Cheers,

Mark

I have to admit Mark you were right about APE, but remember you were initially swinging on their nuts for a while. You have since moved on out of that situation and now progressing to a better setup. Many would just like to move on at this point. FFHP is taking care of people on a one by one basis. Let things play out minus the sarcasm. If anything you should be contributing by telling us what is going on with your setup. What's new with you?

I spoke well of APE when the work they had done was decent (I thought) and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt when I did start having problems. I've come to see how stupid that was. APE is long sense defunct and dozens of people guy screwed in the process.

Do you still talk with Mike K? I'm curious how his 408 has held up. APE was very hit and miss. Some of the motors they built held up fine and many others had problems almost from day one.

My new combo is almost ready to be redeployed. I'll probably create a separate post in a few weeks. Briefly the combo consists of a forged LS6 (stock cubes) and an auto.

Cheers,

Mark

Hey Mark,

Mike K. and I are friends for life. We chat via AIM every chance I get while I am over here in Afghanistan. Mike and Jay were ready to go get my car when the news of FFHP closing came out. Mikes motor is fine, however he had an issue with his rear coming apart and ruining his brand new built T56. The very next week Mike K. purchased a brand new GTO. He finally got 95% of the Camaro ready to go back on the road. It should be up very soon and he told me he is not sure if he is going to spray it again. Knowing Mike K. he will spray it again. Racing is in his blood. Jay actually sold his FRC and everyday he regrets it and swears he will get another one just like his old one.

So you have been persuaded to go automatic!! It must be nice!! I guess after seeing Earl H's results you know it is the right decision. I thought about it, but after hearing how much the conversion cost I decided to stay with the 6 speed and just limit my power to what my clutch can hold. Maybe one day I will run into someone who wants to do a direct swap and then I will have a auto. I am happy to hear you are about to grace us with another TTiX MONSTER!!! I cant wait to see what that puppy is going to do at the track....

Just an update on my situation. Right after this hit the news Brad informs me that he will take care of Dave Dillon via taking care of what I paid upfront. Dave Dillon hears from Brad and I get a PM saying not to worry everything is taken care of. Basically telling me I will not take a loss. Well today I get a PM from Dave Dillon saying Brad has no money or parts to give for your setup. What do you want to do? I requested my car get sent back home to Florida. I will never try to start a project while I am out of town ever again.

This is just such f'ing BS it makes me sick. I would seriously consider legal action against both FFHP as a business as well as the individual owners.

The corporate veil does *NOT* shield owners from personal liability when it comes to fraud, which is *EXACTLY* what happened here..

Well things happen. Companies go out of business. People get screwed. That is life. I will move on. The car is going home and will sit in my garage till I get home. I will decide then what to do with it. Well atleast my Supra project is going well. I will spend all the money that was going on the FRC on it.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. How much did you end up losing?
Unfortunately, taking them to court will probably end up costing you more money than you get back.

It seems like every time somebody runs a too good to be true engine build special the very shortly thereafter go belly up. Is it me or am I right about this? Not to make light of this but it kind of reminds of the Dave Letterman Top 10 list:

What are the top ten signs that your tuner is going out of business:

1.) Too good to be true never before-heard of engine build prices
2.) Just finished developing a turbo kit (which will be for sale in a few months)
3.)
4.)
5.)

You appear to be right. I lost the cost of dropping my compression and freshening up the motor on my 408ci. You can pretty much figure that out.

Way for these people to also treat those that are overseas fighting for our freedom. This guy in Afghanistan and while he and others are protecting our freedom they are robbing him blind.

If they owed me money I know where I would swing through when I got home.
