There is certainly nothing wrong with that. I think a big cube NA combo with a trick set of heads and lumpy cam would be a lot of fun. Different strokes for different folks.

17-18lbs - I believe to have what is the best commercial setup out there now which is the 10 rib ecs system and for now I have dialed it back from that kind of goal to 13-14 lbs which is stupid fast on the street and at the strip. If it was the winter maybe I would ask ECS to keep going as they always seem to find a way to make the system work reliably at ever increasing power levels. Also, a BIG strain on the motor - make sure it is well built, the heads will hold and you are prepared to refresh the top end at least once a year assuming the bottom end is also forged.

To everyone that PM'ed me about the 12rib stuff. No that is not something I make, or have anything to do with. I just saw it on the net. I have never had any issues making over 800 with 8rib stuff, and blower such as a F-1C or similar (different brands) ECS's new 10 rib stuff looks like a great addition to the line up of things to come.

I know that ATI Performance Products (Not the supercharger company)
At one time we toying with the idea of a cog system, for those that have the ATI, A/A,ECS brackets, though I have not heard of anything on that ever being finalized.

As for the photo of the 12rib, I do NOT know if it's a one off thing, or if that is something that you can buy in a kit. From the looks of the photo it looks as though it involves extencive modifications to the car, and radiator system. I could be wrong, cause I am just going by the photo.

Though for more infomation I would contact:

That is where I found the photos, was their website. I book marked it a while back, cause I found it interesting.

Happy Boosting,

I had 13-14 psi earlier this year, but now I think my idlear is worn out. Thats why I only see 10 psi. I have allready blown my engine twice so I think I have sorted out the bad parts. Im hoping to hit my goals next year or Im going to throw my F1R away.

I am having no slip problems with my 8rib even when hitting the nawz. Perhaps you guys are using a belt which is to loose. I suggest you make a custom bracket to adjust tension on the alternator or Try installing a belt in this order : Once you have the belt snakes threw the charger, crank, and water pump / power steering, you should have about 1/2 inch belt length away from pulling it over the alternator pully. At a glance you will believe it is impossible to get the belt streched over that alternator, but there is a way. The next step is to take off the alternator pully totally and **** the alternator all the way forward toward the head. Then mount the belt of the pully which you are holding in your hand. You will again be approx 1/3 - 1/2 inch away from getting that pully onto the alternator bolt. You then need to have a friend pry on the charger tensioner while you take another pry bar off the frame rail of the car for leverage forcing the pully onto the alternator. I actually have to pry the pully on the end, hold it stedy while I picked up a little hammer and tapped the pully past the thread of the alternator shaft. Once finished we could play you a tune on that belt ...

^ Good description. I get mine on without taking the alternator pulley off though, but hey, whatever works.
