Also I see your top belts go around your seat not through it. Many HPDEs will not allow this set-up anymore. They are requiring that the belt goes through the seat from the top (so that it helps stop it from falling off your shoulders) and also that the belts are at the proper angle from the roll-bar over the shoulder (so that you dont crush your spine).

I also encourage all to get the HANS device. I know it is expensive and 1/4 mile guys rarely have a problem, but you never know when the HANS will help you.
Belts are mounted to stock seatbelt bolts, without the kit shown, and crotch belt is attached to a cross bar mouted to front seat frame bolts.

Yea, the shoulder bolts do go around the seat, no way to go through on a Z06. It is a problem which I don't have a good solution for, without going to aftermarket seats. Anyone have any ideas? The mount point on roll bar is a little low, but NHRA approved. You can see mount spot in following pic. Then next pic shows some of the bar.

I am not sure of the angle they recommend. I do know too much of an angle and you will crush your spine that was shown to us in HPDE class.

With Stock Seats the crotch belt should be mounted behind you and come from the back of the seat. Basically you would sit on it and pull it straight up to the lock.

If you dont want to replace seats then you could order new sport seat covers and new foam. A few of my friends changed their stock Z06 seats into sport seats doing this. It is cheaper than buying new seats, but it still costs.

Another choice maybe a sternum strap that should help keep everything together if there is an impact.

I am not sure. The ones I have seen are already part of the Harness. I am sure that someone makes something that wraps around both harnesses though and is almost as good.

Yea those guys "North of the Border" are really kickin down some doors. I like the 1320 but I would LOVE to take it to the roadcourses like Joel. I don't recall seeing rollcage in his car, Lord knows he needs it going 200mph . I am planning on a Jan-Feb trip to Spring Mountain Driving School to get a taste of that action/addiction. Looking forward to the pics of your cage.

once you go to Road Racing you will not look back. Have fun at Spring Mountain and start planning your next year's HPDE events.
