second home......47 miles away....15.2 mpg last time i visted...a4 tranny temps were only 140! cold outside

I'm not sure if you've decided to do this or not, but if I had it to do over again, I would have added "Billet Main Caps" OR a "Billet Main Girdle" (I think thats what its called)
I've been reading alot of information where the mains shift under heavy loads in HIGH HP applications. I dont have first hand knowledge as to the case, but I'm sure some of the guys who have torn their motors down a couple of times can chime in..

i have heard that high hp will push backside of the main bearings out.
