APS Complete or APS Lite ?
Unless your car is a diesel (no throttle body), you will want a BOV!The purpose of a BOV is to prevent compressor surge when you close the throttle body. Without a BOV, the pressure that is built between the compressor discharge and the throttle body has no place to go when you close the throttle. As a result pressure goes backwards to the compressor. This is EXTREMELY hard on turbos and if done for a sustained time can fail turbos in minutes (well, journal bearing turbos, anyway... I can't speak for the ball bearing ones. If the claims are true, they should hold up much better to compressor surge). The BOV takes the compressed air trapped between the throttle body and compressor discharge and discharges it either to atmosphere or back to the compressor inlet.
The APS kit has BOVs similar to those that you would find on a production car. The TTi kit has an aftermarket "high flow" BOV (used to be dual BOVs, now they went to a single).
Hope that clears some things up a bit...
Are the Hyperboost HS still available for $300 shipped? I would like a pair for my APS.
Here is some more info, the latest valve now looks exactly like the Bosch and is so close it fools Audi/VW dealer techs all the time. I would have to say I sell about 15 of these a week +/- of course.
