Default APS Complete or APS Lite ?

Just went thru the "Bill of Materials" for the APS C5 Kit. Seems some key essentials are "missing". For example: BOV's & 60 lb injectors

I'm quite certain these would be essentials ....for kit to run up to specs.

Wonder if TTi Kits include these items ...

Perhaps the APS Santa couldn't get them into his holiday sleigh for the long trip up from the down under

Are you sure there are no bypass valves? They look like they're pictured here:

As far as injectors, that was pretty clear to me - everyone would want something different, so you're on your own there.

The BOVs are on the BOM. They are near the top. It appears that they are the plastic Bosch BOVs.

The APS does not come with any fuel system components.

They look like the same size/type used in my Vortech kit (just one on my Vortech).

Neither Kits include fuel system upgrades. I am pretty sure the APS does come with the cheasy bosch plastic bypass valves. Maybe the line item is for an upgrade?

Cheers

I have great replacement DV's for the Bosch's by way of Hyperboost HX Stealth. They react much faster and have no rubber parts to fail unlike the Bosch series. HX Valves will handle more boost than you could throw at it for the C5/6's etc... Usually they are 169 each but since pairs are needed I will do them for 300 shipped for CF Members. Plenty in stock ready to go.

Here is some more info, the latest valve now looks exactly like the Bosch and is so close it fools Audi/VW dealer techs all the time. I would have to say I sell about 15 of these a week +/- of course.

Hyperboost

Brian

Linky

The TTi Stage X kits come with a TiAL 50mm by pass valve w/aluminum CNC mounting flange pre-welded on the intercooler for installation ease, designed so compressor surge is never an issue.

Neither kit comes with injectors or other fuel system upgrades as they can't possibly have one fuel system for every car and every power level goal.

Default Bov

Thats probably why the TTIX is a better kit.....No kit will include injectors or Fuel System........Injectors around 300.00 - 400.00 and fuel system ECS 1800.00 so you are probably a little short to put the kit together. When I purchased my D1SC from Andy, I was half way there to complete the install....and Im not including the forged block and internals. I think it was close to 20,000.00 by the time I had the Engine and Pwertrain done.

Making awsome power though!

What does transmission type have to do with a BOV?

TiAL Blow-off Valve

9 psi or 11 psi TiAL Blow-off Valve

Recommended for manual transmissions to maintain boost during shifts

I agree it helps reduce surges too on the thrust bearing but on a rear mount turbo in my case how much do you really get...Its like dual wastegates..if you dont have any boost creep is it worth it? I dont have any so im keeping one wastegate. I think a BOV is for serious hp.

The bypass valves (two) are in front off intercooler and dump into inlet tube just after filter in pictures above.

You just need to add the fuel system of your choice..............other than that the APS is the most complete C5 twin turbo package available.................even includes a twin three inch 304 stainless steel exhaust system right through to the rear muffler assembly.

Its an awesome price for an awsome kit considering the exhaust. Wish I had not dumped so much money on 3.90s and LG headers

There are kits out that come with the fuel upgrades also But i do like the idea of a piping going all the way back to the mufflers
