What size motor are you talking about? How big is the cam? How high are you going to rev the motor? Where in the power band do you desire to make power.

Your question can't be answered without knowing the answers to these questions first.

I guess I should have been more specific sorry. Stock bottom end, APS TT, Turbo Grind cam, 317's. I'd like a good low end torque curve.

One of the Vette Mags did a whole intake manifold test, it had a black c4 427 wide body on the cover. IIRC LS6 on the tester LS2 did very well.

For the money the LS6 intake on stock cubes is hard to beat even though Ls2 can be had fairly cheap.

I still have not found good info on intake when used with FI or boost. The speed of sound changes as you add boost so does the mass (your density went up) so the resonant tuning method used in NA apps falls apart. What may work great for one person will not for others, as can be observed by varying opinions and results. In a all out applications (high boost) shorter less restrictive runners net you more then a nicely tuned intake. I don’t have LS1/6 results to confirm this but seen results on Fords.

I thought I saw Roadrebel post that he was getting good results out of the LS2 intake/90mm with FI motors...

There are several TTi Stage X cars running around with both stock and big cube motors with the LS2 intake manifold and ported 90 MM LS2 TB.

I kept my LS6 intake manifold and stock LS1 TB as I didn't feel the potential gains of an LS2 were justified on my conservative street combo.

I've been researching this topic for quite some time and just haven't been convinced that SD would complement my setup. If AEM made a plug and play unit for our cars or if BS3 implementation was much cleaner I might feel differently.

One of my goals for 07 is to have a separate MAF tune for bracket racing. I want to be able to stand on it at the line and run 11.51's all day long, as 11.50 is the point where a cage is required.

You don't have to run 9's just to have fun.

Read my earlier post. Documented gains have been established with the LS2 intake manifold and ported LS2 90mm TB on multiple twin turbo cars.

There is a torque loss down low, but you pick up some power up stairs.

OK, well I bought a LS2 Intake and Tbody. Thanks for the info. A SC'd car here locally is making 640rwhp with a LS2 setup, stock bottom end. He just upgraded to a 402 with the same intake setup and we are awaiting dyno numbers.

Since he is going bigger he should have the LS2 intake ported..

No ported TBs here. I do a very simple cleanup on the intake manifold removing mold flash etc and bolt them together. Its it the best boosted manifold I have found and certainly a very cheap combination to boot!
