Just querious, what kinds of Viper parts do you have in your transmission? This is the first I have heard about this.
Norm
I would like to be able to upgrade my Viper transmission with Corvette parts. You guys think I'm kidding but I'm dead serious. Sorry not trying to hijack your thread. As mentioned earlier avoid wheel hop and don't try and tear the shifter out of the console on every shift and you should be fine.
What do you mean DTE strut and long output shaft? is that different than a replacement DTE hardend output shaft? What are the best tires you would recommend? (good traction but not too good...breakage)
Tom
DTE Strut brace
Drivers Long output shaft, hardened, non DTE
The ET Streets are the most forgiving. They are bias ply and have a wrinkle wall effect that can be very forgiving on a stick car. The DRs have a hard side wall and transfer a torque shock to drivetrain which equals more breakage chance. It's the dead hooking and wheel hop that cause the most issues with the drs.

Sorry my fault I am getting the strut brace "now I understand" Is the output shaft a personal choice or is one better than the other? What are good sizes of the ET Streets? and what do you run in the front?

Now that I think about, my shaft came from a company that is supplied by DTE. The ET street I run currently is the 17" on a spare set of Z06 front wheels. Then on the front I run the stock tire, but let me warn you, this is a hand full on the track. The bias ply and the radials do not work well together. Most run the CCW drag pack, which is a 16" rear with ET Streets or Hoosiers, and a skinny up front. CCW won't sell the ET Streets without including the bias ply front skinny because of the handling issues. The 16" allows even more side wall flex.
