Default Need info on vendors for forged parts

I'm building up everything else to put my Vortech on. (Full story here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...post1559519253 ) Now that I'm down to a shortblock in the engine bay I'm thinking of having forged rods and pistons added to the mix. The engine can pop out in no time. (clutch is coming out too.) My old best friend has owned an old school Hi Po speed shop for 25 years and I'm thinking of having him install this. It wasn't in my plans or budget, but there is soooo little extra work to do it now. I'm looking for suggestions for vendors that have reasonably priced parts or forged kits. It's all new to me.

Thanks for the links Bob. I appreciate it very much. I'm trying to get other things done and do my research. Anybody have any opinions on this?: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LS1-L...spagenameZWDVW

Not a bad price at all. I wouldn't use the Mahle rings though, we have not had good results with them. Seems they are a low cost ring. The Total Seal file to fit rings are what we use, with a chrome top ring for forced induction. Bob
