Default Meth.

How much hp could I see if I used a snow meth injection on a 383 n/a with 11.50/1 compression? The reasson for doing so is to see if the lower IAT's would help that much. Plus I will be looking for my next power adder like a Procharger or ECS' kit.

I would look into the Alky Control kit sold by ECS. I added a dual knozzle kit to my SC stock motor and gained about 40 rwhp through the ability to add more timing. I'm seting at about 530rwhp.

Here are my thoughts on Meth...

Meth/alky is used to keep detonation away, not to add anymore power. If all things are kept constant...alky will hurt HP.

The thought then becomes, well now i can add more boost, or more timing..run a little leaner. That is good, but when you do those things, have you actually made anything safer than what it was?

Example

I run 11.5 AF / 14* of timing / and 7lbs and make 698 RWHP using nothing but 98 octane gas, should be pretty safe.

Well now i just add alky... and change nothing else....i get 680 RWHP and a with the same 11.5 AFR

Since i added the alky, i can now run 12.5 afr / 20* of timing and make 725 RWHP... on the same 7lbs.

Did i really make the car any more safe by using Meth???

BTW, the are numbers in my head, not my actual numbers.
