JMHO, but I think the quality and durability of your paintwork will largely be determined by your prep work and not so much by which paint you use. I mean sure, there's crappy paint out there, but I've had even regular paint from Discount Auto last a long time on parts that were properly degreased and blasted.

prep work is KEY when it comes to how long the paint will last and how well it looks.
This will sound tacky and I've never tried it on top of a "Jet Hot" type coating, but after trying a number of header paints, the thing that held up the best is regular old barbecue paint. Rustoleum or Red Devil, available almost anywhere. Even stuck pretty well over chrome. Have only tried black.
...sorry Nick...I thought you told me you painted them.
Let me ask you this......do you think if you had the Swain tech coating powder coated with a high luster silver....do you think it would still be shiny...even though it is over a rough surface.
Did your powder coater feel that coating over the Swain tech was going to be problem free (knowing that powder coating works on opposite charges attracting and Swains ceramic coating cant hold a charge because it is not metal) ...
I am lookind to get a high luster over my Swaintech coating...I want the bling bling factor also....I bought the Hirsch 2000 degree high temp , high luster aluminum paint..
I even thought about chroming over the Swain tech ...but told this could not be done...also due to its roughness I dont think it would shine...
Please Nick...and everyone else if you have helpful input....please post it..
