Default BAP mounting location?

Where are you guys mounting your BAP's? Whether it is a KB or an MSD where are you putting them? The one I saw mounted was Cajundude's and it is in the driver side wheelwell behind the inner fender. I also have a racetronix pump with the hotwire harness, how do I tie the BAP into the wire harness and how do I put the weather-tite connector together for the BAP to the harness? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Does anyone have the MSD unit, because it looks twice as wide as the KB version and I would like to see where you guys are putting them.

We had a great thread on CF but as with most they seem to disapear...

The BAP is mounted in the driver's side rear wheel well just below the filler neck.

Here are some pics showing how to plug a BAP into the Racetronix harness. Our harness makes it very easy and more reliable.

Here you go... 03 C5 with FFS but earlier stuff is the same way.

Also if you are running the Racetronix Harness go ahead and put a 30AMP fuse in the back where the BAP is. Might save you a headache later.

Yeah might as well spend $2000 on a fuel system for a stock car when you can spend $219 and have completely adequate fuel delivery for something making 500 RWHP.

Its still a bandaid any way you look at it .

500rwhp is 600 to the crank in a auto car and 600 is the ragged edge of a walbro 255 and a bap pushes it to 700 ,, hehe

A Bandaid that cost $219.00

Will it work ,, yes

Is it the right way to engineer your fuel system in the car you love ,, no .

Bandaid engineering cost $219? Who sells a BAP for $219? I just bought my Racetronix harness upgrade for $69 and BAP's I've seen are at least $269.

I have had cars running this way for more than 2 years that I have built with absolutely 0 issues.

There is no reason for someone to spend that kind of money on a fuel system for a car with a stock bottom end and a drop in kit. You have your opinion, I have mine. There are a lot of guys who do this stuff themselves that don't have $2000 to spend on a fuel system but do have $5500 to spend on a supercharger kit. Or $4000 on a used one.

ESPECIALLY GUYS WITH THE NEWER FUEL SYSTEMS!!!

It is a 20 AMP.

If you just go to their website and pull down the price list the 20AMP's are $229 plus shipping, probably another 10 bucks.

I buy them from them in bulk and am currently out of the 20AMP models.

Thanks Nick ill check it out but how long before you might have mire 20 amp version in stock? I can put the harness in first and BAP later on but would rather do them both at the same time while im in the wheel well. I'm assuming even though "Vette" vendors that sell them its nothing different they do to the wiring vs if bought elsewhere from anyone else.

I will need to plug the BAP into the Racetronix harness and I think I will need to cut and splice the 2 BAP red power wires onto special plugs for the Racetroix plug in anyway and I dont think there is any difference in the product no matter where its bought or is it setup for a c5 uf bought for a Vette specifically?.

Where can I get the connectors to attach to my MSD BAP? I really want to get them to get my MSD to plug into my Racetronix harness very soon!

Probably call Racetronix direct and see if they sell them separately or one of their distributors does.
