8 rib conversion question

I just recieved my 8 rib pullies, and the shaft for the alternator is not long enough for the eight rib pulley to fit. Is there something that need to be done to the shaft or do i have the wrong pulley. The part number is 916177 from ATI the damper company. Thanks for the help in advance.

The pulley should fit like OEM. Sounds like you got the wrong pulley.

Ben-can you measure the front face to inside flange of the pulley-then I'll check mine-maybe they didn't machine it enough.

Mine fit just fine after I got it on the shaft. Kind of a PITA get on though

It really doesnt look anything like the original pulley. It doesn't have that machined tab at the back that would make it mate with the alternator.

it should be a 916176. A 916177 is a tensioner pulley.
