Default HP Tuners Software

I had a TTi X kit installed recently and all of a sudden I am getting the " Active Handling Warming up" or the "Service Active Handling" on the DIC . Is it in the software or is something else going on? I never had the problem before the software install. The other issue is HP is harder than h$#@@ to get a hold of.

Thanks,
The Big Dog

Try the tuning section, also hp tuners board and LS1 forums. Also, ask your tuner..could be simple

I've had traction control messages (not warming up) but others and tweaking the tune can fix this in some cases.

This popped up some time ago with TT install. Did you flash or use file from different model?

No it was not me, but other forum member had similar problems with Active Handling Warming Up message after TT install and tune.

I'm not sure what resolution was as I don't recall final outcome. I think RoadRebel suggested that perhaps someone else's tune may have been loaded.

BigDog, your tuner told me that he would only give me a crippled tune, or a locked good tune. When I first asked him he acted like he didn't know it was possible to lock a tune. So, you should check with him and see if its even possible for you to do anything with it, other than start over.

Was the steering shaft off at any time during the installation?

If so the steering wheel could simply be 1 turn off. You'll have to check with a Tech2 to find out. HP Tuners doesn't communicate with the chassis or body control modules except to request DTC's.

HP Tuners doesn't read or program the body or chassis modules, only the PCM on your C5.

They've ALL been very helpfull to me too...but try asking a question that has been asked a few times before and see what happens...

The problem is that people get the software and then are in a BIG hurry to use it or solve their problem , so heavy usage of the Search button is not always First priority....I love it...but getting flamed is not always that enjoyable...

Yup

The sad part is when they are wrong but won't admit it...By they I mean the local hp tuners gods ...or whateve they think they are.

All in all...I just broke down and actually LEARNED how to config, setup and use the software and that was that

I've been doing SD tuning for around 8 years (sport compacts), so my vette solution is simply

SELL THE MAF....
