To clarify again. IT IS A STOCK KIT. SAME TURBOS, PLUMING, INTEROOLERS, ETC

IT IS A STOCK KIT... JUST THE INLET IS DIFFERENT

You are a hater for quoting past posts and harping/crying about the fact that you couldn't make the power. If you had "called it" then why didn't you figure it out yourself?????

Instead of saying NICE JOB or CONGRATS, You pissed all over my original post!!! You jabbed at Cartek for taking so long in the progress posts. . You even said, “I don’t care if Jesus Christ is tuning the car, there is no way he will get 800RWH.” WELL JESUS IS JULIO and he got over 800RHW. You even said something to the fact that it was fishy or UN true and could not be done.

You could have been nice and sent me a PM and I would have told you.

You actually think that Cartek is going to sell you what they took so long to engineer after you trashed our thread? Good Luck!!! Peter has been giving you the answers in this thread the whole time. There is nothing wrong with the kit. We as vette owners in this section enjoy modifying our cars and Cartek is just a little bit better at doing it.

Wrong, APS engineers advised Adam/Cartek to remove the air inlets and then to conduct dyno testing...............not that it really matters who told who first.

Peter

peter...why did you not advise the other would be 800+ rwhp aps customers to do the same? Either before when they were having problems or after the Cartek show...or did you?

Just curious...

Simply beacuse it was our best guess as to what may be the power restriction...............Adam, the owner of the C5 took the time to speak directly with one of our engineers at APS and it was suggested by an APS engineer to Adam that Cartek conduct some testing on the air inlet ducting sizing..............our best guess was then proven to be correct by Julio/Cartek.

Thanks,

Peter

You mUst be Nuts? if the inlets were modified or any parts for that matter , then the kit is not a STOCK APS kit.. why is that so hard to understand? "CALLED IT" MEANT SOMEKIND OF MOD WAS DONE TO THE KIT.

I WAS SAYING THE WHOLE TIME WAS HOW CAN YOU MAKE THAT POWER ON A "STOCK" KIT WHEN A BUNCH OF US WITH "DIFFRENT" COMBOS WERE HAVING A HARD TIME MAKING 700 ?

YOU COME OUT HERE POUNDING YOUR CHEST SAYING IT STOCK , ITS JULIO TUNE , CARTEK ENGINERING ETC..

AND NOW MORE TRUTH COME OUT AND THAT IS "PETER" OR "APS" ADVISED CARTEK
ON THE INLETS.. SO START TELLING THE TRUTH AND STOP BEING AN AZZ

ILL BUY THE INLETS FROM APS THANK YOU - AND I WAS ABOUT TO ORDER ANOTHER CLUTCH FROM CARTEK.. BUT WHATEVER NOW.

to be honest with you i think APS will benifit from the restiction b/c its a simple fix and if the kits start making more power than it will only help sales.

I have been driving my car in 110 degres for 3 months in everyday driving and the kit is "STOUT" solid no overheating no issues . back to back runs and no complaints , i just want to clarifiy that to Peter and other Future buyers APS buyers

In the same token , i am happy to find out the inlets are a restrictions and when i upgrade the fuel next summer 800 on my last setting will be NICE!!

Just because APS told Cartek what to look for, Cartek still had to engineer a modification to the STOCK KIT.

Yes I am going to pound on my chest that Cartek made over 900RWH, You would have done the same thing if you were me.

Yes we picked up the phone and called APS. It is an amazing invention, the phone. They were helpful and Cartek took the time to mod the kit.

Funny that you picked up the phone , i never knew they had phones down below

here is a little update I SPOKE TO PETER ON THE PHONE MONTHS BEFORE YOU DID and guess what he told me, my issue was the EXHAUST" i asked him about the pancakes pipes which are connected to the inlets and he told me nope that its the THE BACK PRESSURE causing the "RESTRICTIONS" .. which is part true as we found out.

Not only this but APS knew a while ago this was a restriction. I knew several weeks ago and had already set up a dyno day on a Superflow Load Dyno to test what I know APS already knew. The evidence, open up their instructions or pics of their new z06 kit. All piping is solid, no accordian. But whatever, I have my dyno day on the 26th, I will be running a few base lines at different boost levels, then I will disconnect the exhaust behind the H-pipe, do a few pulls at different boost levels, and then I will disconnect the inlets completely, the turbo's will just breath, and then I will do some pulls, going up to say between 16 - 18 PSI depending on what I see for power and fuel support. Now if Peter would only get back to me on that 3" exhaust I can do us both a favor, do some runs with just the H-pipe, some runs with the 2 1/2" GHL's I have, and then bolt up the mufflers and do some more pulls and compare to show the benefit of flow with the 3". PETER, PLEASE GET BACK TO ME!!!

this thread is damn good!

And a week or two after the 26th (if the kit ships out in time) will be the Z06 kit tuning on the engine dyno at W2W. Good times coming for Twin Turbo Corvettes with APS set ups.

Is the restriction where the accordian hose is pinched so much going between the fender well or is it the whole intake pipe itself? I thought the pancake section was supposed the be the same area of displacement as the round area of the metal tubing? The right side really pinches the hose a lot right before it attaches to the turbo but the left side doesnt get pinched down as bad.

I think it's where it crosses under the radiator, some think it's the pancake part. I'm thinking that if it's already get a little crushed under the radiator, it could be collapsing even further under "suction". If my results on the dyno prove that this is the restriction I will be making up my own inlet pipes for me and others, well, unless Peter will hold to what he said and supply us with the parts that are holding the kit back. I hope he does, it will really make his kit shine.
I'm pretty excited at this point to see what I can pull with 93, maybe some Torco and Meth!

And mostly, it has been great to see the forum community at work... a member encounters a problem/concern/challenge, and lots of members come together to attempt to address it with expertise and suggestions, all for the good of the community.

It is surprising and unfortunate that the 'solution' in this case was known for many weeks before it was revealed. I am impressed with OrangeCrrrush's car, and with the great work Cartek does, but was definitely surprised they had a known solution without revealing it until now. I'm sure all intentions were good, and probably based on loyalty and enthusiasm to a vendor, and the desire to be ahead competitively, but uh, wow.

The cost? Well beyond Vegas' (and other APS owners) concerns for their own cars, the damage done to Peter's reputation at APS is pretty clear with thread after thread questioning the APS kit and Peter's integrity. In how many threads did people say "I was considering APS, but now I'm going with another kit." In how many threads did people question any/everything APS claimed about any product? And now how many APS installers are also getting less business due to that - like LAPD or others who have installed so many of the kits?

I'm happy for APS users. And I'm still a believer in the forum concept that provides free and open assistance to members who are having problems before those problems end up harming other forum members.

Just telling it like it is..Hate people who over advertise and make statements and then later let you down..How many times did he say his kit was equal to or better than the TTiX kit and it could easly make 800rwhp when bolted on a forged motor just like the TTiX kit and it would be well tested by his engineering department before they would release it......Sales men is what it was...Hate that ****!!! They need to offer every kit owner the "new and improved" updated intake parts for free to make it right
