thanks Peter for taking the time to answer the questions
I don't currently believe that the inlet hoses are collapsing under high vaccum though anything is possible at very high power levels................I think it's more likely to be a mass air flow restriction in the air inlet ducts at high boost levels.

I can't run full boost in 1st. My numbers are @ 15 PSI and the motor was built to hold atleast 25. Car was tracked once 2 years ago on a CCW drag package and still had no traction. We were fresh off the dyno with an A/F of 9.2 to be safe right after the build with 400 on the clock.

Turned the boost down to 12 psi and only made 2 runs.

Nah.. rule 6534 chapter 34 in the racing guide states:
"The Owner must race his own horse" unless the owner of the vehicle is impaired or has missing limbs"

the only other exceptions are the owner must wear a "Skirt with Pom Poms as a cheerleader". then he may be excused from driving.

so Jersey you must represent your Horse

what about the c6 kit it probably has the same problem.

Guys,

To make the power out of the C5 APS kit, CARTEK did modify the inlet piping. CARTEK was able to test where the restriction was and engineer their own inlet piping that works great. The turbos are NOT too small by any means. The type of hose used in the kit is NOT the issue. This is why I use CARTEK as a tuner. Julio really knows his stuff when it comes to tuning/engine building and turbos.

So tomorrow all APS owners around the country will wake up tomorrow and have their local shops make them a inlet tube and everyone will be happy with their APS kit.

Maybe Cartek can make these?

We didn’t want to just take the mufflers off and melt the spring on the rear suspension. We ran the car with C16, with 93 octane, exhaust off, exhaust on. Different boost levels. ETC… We had a lot of trouble getting the Boost controller to work properly. For anyone who is interested in the controller, it was an AMS -1000. It is awesome, but it is real hard to configure. Once we got it working, it was amazing. If there were any secrets to this kit, I would have to say it is the boost controller, and how it maintains boost. We did not change the springs, they are still 8lbs.

.

I get RIPPED by everyone for saying it makes no sense ..and like i said it could be the slightest modification to the kit that could change the outcome and alot of people come out and say im a hater and chit..

sooooo.. the puzzle is coming along.. a few weeks later Peter come out and says

" I think it's far more likely that the turbo air entry inlet ducts are restrictive at high boost levels and this is where our engineering guys will start testing when the ZO6 arrives at APS, hope that helps"

Ill take it that Cartek told Peter about the inlets and thus we are here today with a Poissble answer to the mystery of why these kits run out of steam after 12 psi.

Adam it was might big of you to come out and share and Confirm the Missing link
