What are you using for a MAF delete tube?? I'm helping a guy out and he may need a MAF, and seeing as how I don't need mine I might donate it to the cause, but I need a good filler tube. I'm trying to find something in aluminum or stainless that could be polished but I'm having no luck.
Depends on car, can ne 3.5" pipe or 4" pipe. Sometimes I just leave the stocker with screen to catch any crap that gets in the inlet system. It has helped before wheen I pulled a nut out of the inlet that the screen stopped.

Yeah, I was already past the screen saving something point. My MAF was descreened prior to the turbo kit. If anything makes it to the turbo though, I'll be surprised.

Metal supply house fro alu tubing or or marine exhaust house for stainless.
You may luck out and find a drop 3 or 4 inches long.
If you were near me, I would just give you a short piece of stainless 4"
Are you in the armed forces? I'm having a be nice to the military kind of week....if so, then pm me...
I'm finally going SD myself right now. I just removed the MAF, and used a molded piece that Charlie made. It fit into the inlet of the K&N, and then I connected it right to my air bridge...

I have a piece laying around from when I was SD. If I dont need it, its all yours my friend.. I'll know in the next couple of days which route i'm going.
I use a 3.5 pipe from Summit. Buy a bend and fab what I need and then I have them powder coated locally. They stand up nicely. I just use the mild because it is relatively cheap and easy to work with.
I think the only place this has been proven to be a restriction is on the KB pull through stuff. For us with the turbo stuff, it has never proven to be a restriction.
On a few of the cars I have done, I just leave it in there and do the SD tune. Saves me from divorcing the MAF from the IAT and it a little more stealthy...

I work part time at Auto Zone. Saw this sitting there, grabbed a tape measure, sure enough, it's 3.5" inner diameter. I guess these cheesy chromed tail pipes we sell are good for something after all. Taking a pipe cutter to it shortly.
All done as seen below. Was PITA to cut with that hand pipe cutter. I DO have enough of that tip left over that if anyone (APS guys???????) needs a MAF replacement tube I can cut it out of what's remaining for ya.
The fourth pic shows how it sized up (camera phone pics so excuse the quality). Almost EXACTLY the same ID as the MAF ends, but completely eliminates the step to the center section of the MAF.
Refresh my memory, what makes speed density desirable? Is it more accurate?
The SD tune ables the GM PCM to read boost. The vettes PCM doen't read boost from the factory. You demap the car add a 2 bar map and hours of tuning and bang your in heaven.
