He just needs some slicks for coming out of the hole, and shift it at 5800 rpm. And use the bottle after shifting into high gear. I think it would hit the 9's pretty easy then.
yes! but not at the track. I think what RJW is saying is that you would pull faster track times with a bigger cam to bleed off some of the boost down low (less torque down low). Im sure you have your hands full with all that power below 3k rpms. I have trouble and I have a huge cam in mine so I can imagine you with your style cam with a 402.

I don't know about you, but when I drive my car it's around 2000rpms to 4000rpms, It feels sick!!!! I have gone to the track 1's this year. I don't care what's happen's at 6000rpms or the track, I don't have a race car. If I cared the frist thing would be to take the cat's off, then see how it pulls to 6000rpms. That's why everyone love's big motors, low end T/Q and I make 700rwt off idle. It feels like getting hit by a hammer!!!! But don't worry this week I'm going to the track to see what a slick can do, just for you!!
