I don't know about you, but when I drive my car it's around 2000rpms to 4000rpms, It feels sick!!!! I have gone to the track 1's this year. I don't care what's happen's at 6000rpms or the track, I don't have a race car. If I cared the frist thing would be to take the cat's off, then see how it pulls to 6000rpms. That's why everyone love's big motors, low end T/Q and I make 700rwt off idle. It feels like getting hit by a hammer!!!! But don't worry this week I'm going to the track to see what a slick can do, just for you!!
Now your talking. I'm with you on using what you have. I Never heard of cutting power on the mid range to go faster. You need more traction to utilize that power, not more cam to move your power band up where the maggie is going to be out of breath anyway on a 402 inch motor. You may need to put some 2.73:1 gears in it and a A4.
Just don't break your driveline trying to prove something with the slicks.

Finally someone gets it, thank's. Every power-adder has it's good point's and bad point's, the trick is to utilize what's best for your power-adder. Now I can't hook, but If I do the car will go fast or break.
