W2W was my choice.
Talk to Kurt Urban. One of the best people I've ever dealt with.

Dealing with W2W was awesome. Kurt took A LOT of time to answer questions, send me pictures of my motor, and always gave me heads up on the building stages of my car/motor. PM if you would like some contact information.

Erik Koenig @ HKE, this guy is excellent! He built my motor and it runs great, doesn't burn oil, nothing! Just a perfect motor.
The only problem is that the added power blew my tranny

You may also want to consider Katech, they build racing engines for GM.
I'm using PowrMax, they're experts, but they're not as well known.

LME is amazing, does their own machining in-house and as busy as they are, will always be there to answer questions.
The best will always be a local builder/shop that will install, break it in and stands by their product/work.

There are several great engine builders all over the country. Unless your location is particularly remote I can't see mail ordering a motor.

I used Andy at A&A corvettes to build me a forged 427 using a ls7 block and it has passed the torture test many times at 5000 miles on it last summer and now I am going to slap a T trim blower onto it.
