My mechanic plumbed this system up. I have a little over 3 gals of capacity. It all fits insde the fender area. I am using the car to run in Open Road Races. I will averaging 170mph with speeds over 200 for 90-130 miles. So this should fit the bill.
Have a good fire suppression system in there in case something happens?
I only have it a gallon in the windshield reservoir. If it catches fire in an accident there probably isn't much difference between three gallons than one. But wondering what your thoughts are.
I think there is less risk with the external tanks than the rear mounted ones in the cabin.
Thank you for resizing. I won't be running pure meth but a 50/50 water mix. So I don't think it will still be a fire hazard. lso the sactioning board for Open Road Racing would not allow a tank in the car.

Are you going NA or FI Jeff? I found that I barely used my meth at the SSC because I didnt need anyware near the amount of power I had on tap to go that fast.
Twin turbos, oh well if I don't use as much as I think then I won't have to fill up as often. Also I will be averaging 160 or 170 and shooting for 200+ through the traps.
Doug also I checked the rules for SSCC and still no chutes, Idiots.
Jeffy'
I had a 5 gal res with a vented cap in my DSM and I paid around $30 for the setup. I didn't want to refill the res all the time.
Thanks for the link...I would like to re-locate my battery to the rear compartment & use one of these tanks for my meth with a low level indicator light...has anyone done this & if so any pictures?
