Default Having Traction problems....why not do this

I have read so many threads about traction issues and trying to find the right street tire...

Do you guys still have your front sway bar connected?

Traction is about weight transfer, (and some right pedal control)... I am able to drive my tti-x at 18# on the street on 315x40x18 BFG drag radials (@25-28#) and I do not have traction issues.

I didnt have much luck with pilot sports on the street.. that is why I went with a BFG Drag radial for daily driving.. we dont get much rain in Phoenix... so the bald center patch isnt a factor

You sir have a boost leak!! Take the car back to the dyno. I am having a hard time believing even minus the front sway bar you can launch your car hard on 18 inch drag radials using 18lbs. If you said 16 inch drag radials I could believe, but come on. The TTi X turbos hit too hard not to break loose 18 inch drag radials. Dont you have a auto with a good size stall?

Nope.. no boost leak, my lil 347 is putting out over 900 rwhp... I never said that I leave hard with 18# either.. I have a manual boost controller and RPM Level 5 6 speed.

Anyway... I was refering to the street driving issue that everyone is complaining about not a track issue..I use ET Streets for the track and trap an average of 147 (best of 149) in the 1/4....

I removed my sway bar last year for a track rental to see if it would improve my 60'. it diddnt... but i cant drive for crap either.

Think my problem could be the 275/40/17 drag radials though

Still did not put the sway bar back on, havent really noticed a difference with day to day driving either... but i dont take turns real hard either.

Here is the car last year on 13#....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPZ-Z0fjndk

Ran a 10.78 on the same BFG Drag radials I drive on the street... went to the track... air down to 15# and dropped the hammer... 10.78@134. DA was around 1800 that night ...

It bogged a little on the line since this was the first pass (and last) of the night.....
we dynoed 725 at 13#.. This is with alky and racefuel...

Since then i added the ECS fuel system, and a second alky nozzle and upped the boost....

Good run!! Very hard to see the launch actually... Just by listening to it it sounds like you were spinning some via hearing the motor rev so fast when you took off. I could also hear the boost leak. Just kidding.... I guess I am going to take off the sway and see what happens..

I dont cut the best 60' times... best with my TT is 1.80.... on drag radials....

been playing with my 2 step this winter... and its a bear to get it all figured out...

On the street I dont spin though cause the car squats... I wont be winning any road race competitions... but straight line is a different story.

synergy....

Its not a bear to install... but trying to launch with the right boost + right tire pressure + get the track conditions right is what I am refering to....

Yes...I have a 2 step as well. I just don't like it. At the time the only one I could find was incorporated into the MSD LS box. Unfortunately with this box you have to input your timing map in the box and use a laptop to adjust the rpm limits. From what I understand the Synergy uses dip switches (or something like that) to adjust RPM. I just may get one of those.

How is your handling on the street, i dont track the car, but i have a STS system putting down about 600whp. does the car still feel the same driving around town without the front swaybar?

The front end is looser... feels more like a buick than a corvette in the corners.. I have gotten used to it and dont get into the corners hard...
