Default Forged 346 + YSI

Here is what i'm running

A&A Vortech Kit YSI blower
A&A 8 rib pulley
A&A Fuel system
Forged 346 By Intune 9:1 compression.
Patriot Stage 2 heads
Cam specs 224/228 581/588 on a 114
1 3/4 Stainless Works headers

Well we were guessing on pulley size and went way to big. Only making 10#'s @ 6600rpm. Made 540 on a Mustang dyno not even getting into this blowers efficiency range. Smaller pulley on the way. Thanks to Andy @A&A his kits are well made and easy to install. His fuel system was very easy to install. Also thanks to Intune Motorsports for biulding the motor and my friends for all thier help. Big thanks to JAXX on this forum for always helping with my projects. As soon as i get the smaller pulley i'll post the results.

Looks like you will have a really stout setup when you pulley down and get more boost

I assume you have an 8inch crank pulley but what pulley were you running for the 10lbs and what size is on the way?

I'm sure the YSI has a lot left in it. I'll be looking forward to the updates. I've been thinking of going to a YSI someday.

One thing that surprised me is how quite this blower is. I had a P1SC on another vette that i had and it was very loud at idle.

Talked to Andy today and he sent me a 3.15 pulley. I don't know what size the bigger pulley is there is no writing on it but i think it's around 3.5??

Cool ! I am just trying to compare it to my setup a bit for reference as I see 11lbs with an 8 inch crank and a 3.15 but on a 403ci. I have a 3.0 sitting in the garage that I will try after my first tuning phase. Goodluck and keep us posted !

I know Andy was running a 2.85 at one time but I think he said it was slippin a bit on the 427 he used to have.

Ohhhhh! Yeah that is sweet!

You will love the numbers and the power when you are done getting the smaller pulley!

What size is on there now?

I have a 3.2" on my P1SC and am putting on a better bracket, A&A P1 Bracket, to pick up the belt slippage I am getting!

It would only do 10 PSI and it should be at 12 PSI - the new bracket will be here friday

We are shooting for 630 - 650 RWHP from the current break in number on the new forged motor of 607 RWHP!

What is your RWHP goal too?

Thanks,Matt

I'm shooting for over 600 on the Mustang Dyno. Should be close to 700 on a Dynojet. I'm trying to stay with pump gas no methanol.

With the 3.15,
If you get up to 6500 rpm you'll turn the Ysi to over 66,000 rpm. Assuming 5% belt slip.
What's the max recommended rpm?
I heard about guys who turn the Ysi to 80,000. Apparently the thing is almost bulletproof.

My P1 is very loud at idle, although I think some has to do with the bearings going out

8.0/3.15 would only spin it to 57k

They use a 3.45 step up.

The V27 has the 4.25 step up...

Otherwise at 8.5" crank, and 3.0" blower, and 7000rpm max...Im spinning my V7 a tad too hard
