Default ECS Kit

Is anyone running an ECS SC600 kit in an otherwise stock C5 with an A4? I am trying to get some user opinions on what to expect in terms of additional must have mods, what is going to be the weak link(s), and of course your opinion of the setup.

Chris is promising that very soon I will be be the proud owner of an ECS supercharged C5 and I can't wait. Great guy BTW...............

Thanks.

Just ask Chris, he's not going to try to sell you something you don't need.

Enjoy!

If you not going to do any trans upgrades right now, I would just wait until you break something... if you are going to.

1. RPM Level IV
2. LH Output Shaft
3. 2800-32000 stall converter
4. 3.42 gear rear end

That is what else I would recommend.

ECS will steer you straight!!!

I just completed one of their kits on a customers 1997 C5 with stock auto setup, except for a ZO6 3.42 rear end, HE LOVES IT!!!

The car is great to drive, lots of fun.

Thanks for the advice............That is kind of where my head was at. The rear and stall was actually going to come before the SC, but I found the means to get the big stuff done.

Converter, 3.42's, and exhaust... instant low 11's, or more! That was how I ran mine for two years until I did the cam and meth. ECS will not sell you something you do not need. PM me with any questions. I have the original yank ss3200 converter that I did with my blower if you want to buy it! It made a huge difference. Good Luck...

Thanks man - low 11's would kick ***. After the tire and wheel issue gets resolved it's going to be the rear and TC. I may take you up on the yank.

We have to get you to one of the ECS Corvette challanges when your finished. You can get a good feel for exactly what you want/need to do to get to were you want to be, without wasting a penny in the process.

Thanks for the business.
