Hi Mike,
I am running a HKE 408 with my little A&A P1SC blower (D1SC or F1A in the future)
I followed Erik's advice and went with a 238/242 on 115+3 LSA. I love the way the car sounds. I am running a 2800 TC and the car idles great at 900 RPM. I just love the way my car runs and sounds (well, when it used to run as I blew my tranny and the car is on the lift
)
I also asked Dr Phil what he thinks about the cam and he told me it's a good choice.
Here are the motor specs:
HKE 408 at 9.1 compression
ETP LS1 230cc runners heads
238/242 on 115+3 LSA camshaft
Eagle crank, Callies Rods, Wiseco pistons
A&A P1SC with a 3.55 pulley (over 10# of boost)
With the D1SC, the numbers will be sick!!! Keep us posted

I blew my tranny a few weeks ago and the car is still on the lift. I have a small video of it idling. I am running the stock 99 exhaust with cutouts as I wanted flexibility. I used to have the B&B Bullets but they're loud all the time and with the 408 it would have been too much. Even through the stock exhaust it sounds nasty. I love it.
The cam sounds awesome at WOT, extremely agressive even with the cutouts closed. And the cam idles perfectly at 900 RPM and is very streetable
Here is a small sound clip. It's the setup that you see in my sig but with the stock 99 exhaust (cutouts closed). I need some elctrical motors for the cuouts in the mean time I am running them closed. Quality sux as its from my cellphone
I will make more vids once I get my tranny rebuilt. It should be in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for posting that vid. that is almost the same lope sound I am looking for maybe a little more but i think that headers and no cats with the b and b bullets will be crazy enough. That helped a lot. I know i have to run a 114 lsa but the shop that built the shortblock suggested running a large duration to get the sound i want since i cant run like a 110lsa for the lope. They also said it kinda tames the cam with the bigger cubes compared to the ls1 346 with the same cam. Thanks for posting again

that will definitely turn heads and shake the town. I took mine for a ride one with cutouts open and it was very lopey and loud as hell

man i bet you are excited. the speed shop called thursday and said my 408 shortblock was ready for pickup but i need to get the other block tore down and ready to switch the parts over so im going to pick it up friday and need to get a cam and timing chain so i can set it in the car. good luck on your build im sure its gonna sound awesome im looking forward to the videos

Well guys, Im building a 408 to replace my 383.
I will be at 9.5:1 in compression to run my D1SC with it.
-GM 6.0L Iron block bored (.30 over)
-SCAT 4340 4.0" stroke
-SCAT 6.125" H beam rods w/ ARP 2000 7/16" bolts
-Wiseco forged 4.030" -15cc dish pistons
-Childs & Albert Fire Power rings (for high heat applications)
-ARP Main Studs
-Clevite MS 2199 H main bearings
-Clevite CB 745 H rod bearings
-Dura Bond CH-23 cam beraings
-Ported Patriot LQ9 Heads Stage 3 (72cc)
-ARP Head Studs
I'm shopping around for the cam, so if you have any opinions/recomendations, I would like to hear them! !
