Default Help w/ECS meth install??????

I'm looking for exactly where to pick up 12v switched to ignition?

Almost done with install.....3-4 hours for the first timer is very optomistic....... I've got about 7 and I'm not ready to put it back together yet.

PS. There's a male spade connector on less than 3ft of wire. If there is somewhere to plug this in I sure can't find it.

Thanks,
Randy

If you open up the passenger footwell, there is a taped bundle of wires tucked up inside. One wire is orange and one wire is yellow.I believe the yellow one is the 12v switched ignition power source. Just double check for voltage with the ignition on.

Thanks, I'll give it a try first thing in the morning. I still can't help wondering why the supplied wire has a spade connector on it as if it plugs into something. This is supposed to be a C5 specific kit.

Randy

Any other ideas, I know a lot of these kits have been installed....

That's what I used for my meth.
A taped bundle of three wires: a 12V switched, a 12V unswitched, and a ground.

Cut the spade off. Tie into the ignition switch wiring. A test light will show your source. I typically use one of the larger wires coming from the switch.

Solder your connection and use quality tape.

Well, it's done...........

Thanks to Chris and Julio whom both took time with me on the phone. It took longer than I thought but I am picky about results.

Now on to the test and tune.................

Hey Julio,
Since I'm one of the "tweeners" only running 7.5 lbs boost max do you think I should step down a size on the nozzle. The LED goes red to green pretty fast but without knowing my AF ratio I know I'm kinda guessing. Probably won't get a new tune since Phil said it's kinda thin right now, and I'll save my re-tune budget for the next round of mods

One issue is getting things installed.. the other is tuning. Without WB data.. hard to say. If you think its on the rich side, you can step down on the nozzle if you wish. I'd tell you to leave it alone and let the system do its job. More than likely the mod bug will bite you again pretty quick..
