No! No regrets whatsoever!

Remember that Meth cools the intake charge for the motor and can cool the cylinders up to 250* which will enable you to utalize and make more HP and TQ at the RW's.

It is cheap insurance against DETONATION! and HEAT which is a huge enemy in FI!

Hope this helps!

Thanks,Matt

I was told also that meth will help keep the top of your pistons, chambers & valves cleaner. Can I get a confirmation on this????

I had a lot of success with meth in my 06 cobalt ss. I was able to run 20 psi with 25* of timing on 9.5:1 compression without any knock. This was on 93 octane gas and windshield washer fluid from walmart. I will definitely run meth on my upcoming tt build on my vette.

That being said, I've found meth can be a great tool to compensate for a mostly stock fuel system as well to maintain power in the summer heat.

But there is no free lunch, meth is something that requires maintenance.

The tanks can leak, the meth slowly evaporate, washers can erode over time, the pumps are only good for a couple of seasons, etc, plus you have the added hassle of making sure the tank stays full.

Plus, if you run the standard setup you lose your windshield washer tank, which is pretty ghetto in my opinion. We're talking Vettes here, not old Mustangs or Camaros.

Your other option would be a custom tank / mounting solution, but that can take some experimenting as you need to find a good EXTERNAL mounting location that is at least moderately accessible, a tank that won't leak (some of the tanks can develop cracks around the filling neck over time), etc.

I'm not really trying to discourage necessarily from a meth setup, but I'd definitely recommend considering the pros and cons and why exactly you want it. Consider what problem you are trying to solve and evaluate your options carefully.

No regrets here. You do have to maintain it though.

You can still use it to clean your windshield in a pinch. Washer fluid had methanol in it. It's just an expensive way to do it. I've never used the washer fluid on my C5 anyway. I've never driven the car in conditions where I needed it. I keep the car too clean to spray washer fluid all over it. I do use it on my daily driver in the winter, but never on the C5.

For those worried about loosing their washer fluid, we have installed small separate containers to hold a 1/4 gal of washer fluid. It's just enough to get you through a pinch. You can buy something universal at any auto parts store, although I personally never used my washer fluid on any of my Vettes.
