Im new to getting into FI i need to know what is the better supercharger to go with and why. My car is an 03 z06 longtubes xpipe no cats prt exhaust and intake. I am going to do cam and supercharger install. The price is going to be the same if i buy this used kit with a P1SC vs a D1sc. what should i go with and why? Thanks mike
Definetely go with the "D"...Is an 8-rib vs a 6-rib an option? "Ribbed for Her Pleasure"
If you must go ATI go F1A to start... But I would go ECS with the novi 2000...
But just as an FYI here is my dyno from yesterday with my little 'ol P1SC at 9psi... First is a comparison between the first rough tune to a "safe" fine tune... Check the gains trough out the rev range... second sheet was max powaaaaa....
I have 25,000+ miles above 620rwhp, the fuel pump finally took a dump so we built a custom fuel system and upped the boost... F1C and forged 402 in the works...

I do not agree on starting with a F1A, I qualify this with he is staying with a stock bottom to start and the DS1C is the perfect blower for him to start with. I make 750 rwhp and do this with a little ole 347 at 14lbs of boost so it will make some nice numbers and if he wants to turn up to 16lbs 800 is no issue and I make mine with a baby cam and LS6 heads so 800 is nothing, now if he wants big numbers then F1A or bigger. If he gets an A&A bracket or ECS one there are no issues with running the ATI setup I know my A&A bracket rocks, so he does not need to get a Novi unless he wants one and those are kick *** setups that will put down the numbers to, but he did ask for info on ATI head units. Your setup is awesome and when you go 402 bigger is on the way and looking forward to seeing the end result

STOCK LS2 & 243's except for ECS blower cam... No N2O on these runs...
Peterpan,
I say F1A to start because it can easily be pullied down for low boost apps., and there is far more potential than the P1 or D1. I rode in a stock except for F1A LS2 C6 at 7psi and it drove great... No Lag what so ever... so in the name of potential I say F1A...
f1-r is a baaad baaad boy but for stock bottom end d1sc can be run better, safer. Then on a built motor you can still make respectable big #s with the d1.
The Procharger P and D series of blowers have a 4:10/1 step up ratio, the F series have a 5:40/1 step up ratio. Slowing an F series blower down to produce the lower boost necessary to keep a stock bottom end alive is tricky. One of my customer's had a one off 5.50 blower pulley made to slow down his F-1A on his GTO. The GTO though uses a smaller 7.00" crank blower pulley, which helped him out even further. When having a larger custom made pulley created, you need to make sure you will have hood clearance for it. Bob
