Hey man, throw a couple of extra belts in the car and nurse it on over here. We can put the cars side by side, and maybe see what the problem is. PM if you're up for it.

You sound down, I just want to see you happy!

I had the same problem with my ecs procharger kit, my main tensioner and the crank was bent, Might want to check yours.

Thanks Dave. I sincerely appreciate your offers to help. I'm working with Phil now and I'm sure he'll get it figured out.

The thing that still has me really stumped is that the belt has been tightened to the point where there is only a quarter inch between itself at the tensioner behind the head unit, and the spring tensioner is still at about 2:00 ish and too close to the balancer. Weird, eh? The last couple or maybe the last three belts I broke were gates K060895. Do I have the wrong belt?

060895 is the correct belt

The 895 is the belt I'm using too. My spring tensioner is also at about the 2 o'clock position, not 12, but it's working. Can't see a way, at least with the pullies and idlers I have, and my current location of the idler "n_brio" has circled in blue, to get the spring tensioner to 12 o'clock. It's an old belt though, over a year old, may have stretched some.

I soon have an appointment with Phil (Road Rebel). He has some ideas but nothing definitive. I will post when we figure it out.

Let me know if we can help.

btw, you do have the correct belt, but if the tensioner is near being bottomed out, then that will be the problem IMO. Try the next size smaller belt if necessary, I have seen that on a couple cars with after market water pumps where the bell sizing was different, but either way the tensioner cannot bottom out under WOT high RPM runs or you will have problems with any SC system.

i have now solved the problem!
the tensioner marked red have i tighten way to hard when i losen the bolt that hold the "red tensioner" a little then i could tighten the belt to 12 a clock..

and the "hard" sound that i have before is gone to!
