Default Exhaust setup (FI)

Are you FI guys running catted X-pipes or do the majority run off-road X's? I bought some Kooks 1 7/8 LT's and catted X-pipe, but I'm wondering if I should send back the catted version for a off road. I dont see me loosing a lot of power with the catted setup, I'm just curious how long the catts will last will that much pressure going through them.

Anyhow, I can swap out the catted version for a off road here locally through the guy I bought them from. He has a set in his shop so it wouldn't be a hassle.

I just thought I would see what you guys think. Stingers with a off road X-pipe, LT's, Cam, and blower! Might be loud..

After my "high flow" cats died a few months after being installed I decided to have them gutted and call it a day.

The sounds and smells of an off-road mid section can't be beat.

Can you state whose cats you used?
I'm in the process of building a full 3" exhaust, and plan to use 200cel high flow cats by Eastern Catalytic.
Just curious if there is a particular brand to look out for.
Thanks.

I've had trouble with magnaflow cats blowing out on a previous LS1 car. Thats why I was cautious and asked this time before I commited to it.

Catted KOOKs 1 3/4" Headers with X-Pipe! No power robbing here and no problems with the blower set-up!

Running 12 PSI of B@@ST and 639 RWHP!

I'd say keep 'em and install the cats!

Thanks,Matt

interesting, I haven't been spraying since I installed the cats and only need them for the visual. do they disentegrate, or stop functioning?

I've got the random SS shf 70300 I think. turbo TTiX kit

I didn't notice until after I put them on that I probably only needed the 2.5s, installer filled the welds up to match the 3" in out

thanks!
