Default Procharger???

I am ordering the kit soon and was wondering what other mods are neccesssary for the engine and drivetrain to hold the power?

I figured a clutch would be a definate. Just don't know which one to go with. Need advice. I think the Spec Stage 3 or 3+.

I was also thinking of the DTE trans and diff brace.

I will be doing the install myself, is there anything to watch out for that might hang me up?

Thanks in advance.

This depends on your desired power level and application. You can throw on the kit as packaged and be fine tooling around on the street for a while. Or, you can start pushing the envelope...

I was looking at hitting about 530-550hp. I would like to drag race and have fun on the street.

For the engine side of things i would suggest the Procharger Tuner kit and then get 60lb injectors and a boost a pump. Then get the car custom tuned. This will easily get you the HP number you are looking for.

As for the rest of the car i can't help with, all I do is the supercharger systems.

But I am sure other members with chime in with recommendations.

I would go with a kit from A&A or ECS. There kit is better and cheaper than the Procharger Kits.

As long as you're not going to drag the car, you won't need to go crazy with upgrades.

- Textralia Clutch (Single)

-New hydraulics and remote bleeder (Motul 600 RBF).

- DTE brace with hardend left and right output shafts.

- Engine wise, depending on what kit you go with you'll need injectors, catch can, fluids. ECS's kit comes with BAP & Injectors.

- I pressume you have headers and exhaust.

I was thinking of the Vortech or the Procharger. I would like to be able to hit the track once and a while but mostly street driving.

The A&A kit now comes with the fuel upgrades for $5400.

I was wondering what the pros and cons were between the Procharger and the Vortech products?

I don't think there are really much differences between the two.

The real issue with these systems has been belt alignment and wrap. A&A and ECS have spent a lot of time to make their systems work well without throwing or shredding belts.

After-purchase support is better with these guys too.

I use to have a Maggie and it was a lot of fun, but I have decided to go turbo. I'm not looking for a max effort output and it looks like you aren't either.

Maybe you could post up in your local ara on here to look and get a ride in each of these systems before you buy.

I'm lucky that ECS is just over the bridge for me and have been able to see some of the various power adders, etc ...

9.33 @ 147MPH ain't too shabby on a Novi2000.

That was several years ago. This summer on a stock bottom car in 99 degree heat a novi2000 went 9.80 @ 142MPH and was back at 180 degrees at the end of the return road. 60lb injectors, 6 rib setup, FI cam, (basically their SC600 kit with meth) plus an RPM transmission. They can duplicate this kit pretty easy now.

I don't know why someone would want to screw around with another kit. ECS Paxton kit is the best. You get what you pay for.

You have to get to the crank and drill a hole in it to stop it from spinning due to the extra force caused by the blower.

I was the first novi kit out there. (and the first to put it in the 9's! on a stock bottom) Still going, over 300 passes on the blower alone, over 400+ on the car. Reliability is the key here. This is a fairly basic setup, and still on a 6 rib. It could use an eight, but at that power level, 6 rib is safer! Novi work, and they have been proven, over and over again.
Give ECS a call.
