On my stock Z06 we got 530rwhp at 6-7psi (aka ***** boost ) and everything was stock. The first and only real problem was the clutch slipping, and replaced with a Tex, along with a few prudent mods for racing durability: a hardened output shaft on driver side, and rear end DTE brace. I eventually wanted more power and it's over 650rwhp on 10-11psi now, with no other changes but meth/alky and Borla cat back. I look forward to a forged setup and more boost, but for now I enjoy this car alot, it's been trouble free and just stupid fast.

So i could add the TTI X to a stock motor and run low bost on stock internals with moderate drive train upgrades

yes, but obviously more power is more strain on driveline parts so its in your best interest to always be prepared for a clutch/trans/rear etc.

Correct. That's exactly what I did the first year I had my X kit. I ran it with a stock lower end and an upgraded clutch with a hardened output shaft. It made 600/600 (on a Mustang dyno) with low boost on pump fuel without meth.

When I eventually wanted to upgrade - just because - the car was already plenty fast - I had a purpose built turbo motor installed along with an RPM transmission.

There is no reason you can't have fun with a stock lower end with an X kit.

thank you very much everyone, are there many kits used for sale, or is it better to buy them new, and how hard are they to install.

If you can get a good deal on a used kit and it's from a reputable source then I wouldn't be concerned.

As for install difficulty .. That's pretty subjective. What's easy for me might be nearly impossible for someone else .. and vice versa ...
