Default Any issues with the Vortech?

I'm thinking about going with a Vortech kit. Any negatives on this system?

TIA,
MJ

Takes a little while to make power then screms up top.

I have the vortech kit, works great. I had to modify my liquid heat exchangers for better efficiency (switched to two smaller setrab coolers mounted inside the bumper to prevent blockage of the radiator area. The switch provided me about 20% better cooling efficiency at the charge air area as well as no interference with the engine cooling), but that was it. The vortech kit has one downfall, if you plan on higher boost pressures down the road; their pulley setup is not as efficient as the A&A kits or the ECS kits.
I have downsized my blower pulley on my vortech kit one size (2 teeth or approximately 2 lbs. of boost) and have a very slight belt slip issue (the serpintine drive belt not the cogged blower belts) at 5200 rpms. I would imagine if I downsize one more I would slip constantly. he belt configuration could be changed, but it would be a real PITA. Also the other issue with the vortech setup is changing the blower belt. It would be approximately a 3 or 4 hr. job to change the cog belt when the time comes. Other than that, the vortech setup is very pretty looking and the liquid intercooler works very well for a daily driver.

I've had the A&A kit for over two years, SQ S Trim not had any problems. 9lbs of boost 575/525, great kit, s trim smaller blower,
power comes on sooner.

Andy's kit has a FMIC instead of the water to air cooler. His S-trim systems will put out awesome power and also comes with great customer service.

Ronnie,
So you're saying that there's some lag and then the power hits? Like a turbocharged car?
Interesting!

Just put Andys kit with V1 s-trim vortech and is works great. I researched for months before I went with this set up and this is by far the best way to spend your money. $5200 is a steal, and it even comes with the 60lb injectors and the boost-a-pump needed. Thanks Andy for all you tech support!!!

This is Allen from San Antonio Texas.
