Default Question about A&A kit....

Just wanted to get some opinions and HP ratings on the A&A Vortech kit before i order one.

I have a 2003 Z06, will be having ARH's installed next week, that is all that is on it. I am looking at the A&A Vortech S-trim kit. What kind of RWHP are people seeing with it and what kind of PSI, also what size pulley are you using?

I want to be @550 rwhp with just the headers and the supercharger kit.

What would i need to do with the kit in order to achieve this?

Thanks guys.

Just bolt it on, tune it and go. You might need a slightly smaller pulley.

858rwhp at 17psi with 2.95 Reichart pulley.

550hp should be no problem, with a good tune and depending on pulley size you could be well over that.

Rick,

You should have "NO" problem achieving you 550 RWHP goal!

It will be actually simple to do!

I'd suggest that you do invest in a Methanol kit from ALKYCONTROL to keep everything real safe like

Thanks,Matt

I'm running a 3.6" pulley which gives me 10lbs of boost. With a cam and headers I'm at 600rwhp with an a4. (adding the cam gave me about 68rwhp)

You won't regret it!! If there is a possibility that you will want more in the future because you're like me and get bored and can't leave well enough alone, consider the initial upgrade to the more efficient T trim. Tell Andy we sent you! If you have any Q's during the install and Andy isn't available (which never happened to me ), let us know.

T-Trim is a nice unit! I agree on the upgrade, but its not necessary if all you want to do is make 550 and stick with that.

Have you considered putting in a cam while your getting the car worked on? A lot of FI guys have seen big power gains by adding a camshaft. Just food for thought. *shameless plug* I actually have a brand new in box A&A blower cam for sale.

Congrats on the purchase though. You'll love the supercharger!

Be sure to post up your results when your finished up.

Jon

Im running a A A Vortech T trim setup with 3.6 pulley and 2.85" restrictor plate making 525 rwhp at 8psi. I did not want any higher than 520ish rwhp at 7-8 psi for the time being but wanted a unit that was upgradeable to a lot more hp if wanted in the future so it worked out fine.
I have no headers with stock cam/heads and a very conservative tune with no meth needed or wanted.

You should easily see 550 with headers and a little more agressive tune than me..

ProjecT9:

What are the specs on that blower cam, that you have?
Any other parts with it (springs, etc.)?
