I am going to install a NX 1 pc. maf system using two 5 lb. bottles.Oh,and i have no idea what im doing. I need to know what i need & how to connect the 2 bottles together. I also have the 2 bottle press. gauges and a remote elec. pressure gauge. Any advice or pics would be great.
Now,this is really going to be a dumb question. How do you know the different AN sizes, I see 4 an, & 6an and up. How do i know what size to use?

Fitting Sizes
Generally hoses are going to be -4 AN or -3 AN with possibly a 1/8" NPT on one end to thread into the Noid. Blowdown tube fittings are usually -8 AN, however I do not know if that is true for 5 pound bottles.
You do not use teflon tape (or anything else) with the AN fittings.
Generally you use teflon paste or some people like red locktite on the 1/8" NPT fittings...
I usually get my fittings fro Summit Racing.
The gauge you have can go on the mainline using a gauge adapter which is usually a swivel (-4AN Female to a -4AN male w/ a 1/8" NPT thread in the middle) at the mainline/bottle nut attachment.
To connect the bottles you can you a "T" or a "Y". This would probably be -4AN hoses from the two bottles. Then your Gauge adapter swivel to the mainline.
Harris Speed Works has configurable "Y" s (color and thread/fittings for all occassions).
