Bracket alignment disaster..

I think about 1 washer width,...maybe an 1/8th, if that of an inch. I feel your frustrations dude, big time. I got so frustrated, I ditched the setup BUT,...in the end, I did get everything to work properly, and held nicely, and the belt stayed, with no issues anymore. Then my idler pulley broke off the bracket(alternator)....thats when I gave up.
got the gates laser tool ordered today.

Good deal. Just stick it out man. Worse case senerio, you get to become a pro at installing and removing the blower, something that'll come in handy later when you work more on the car. At first, It sucked removing the blower, then, it was just a matter of less then a few minutes, it was off and ready to be worked on.
