Steve: I'm looking at getting one of your kits now. It seems to be about the best all round bang for the buck. However, I JUST want to go with the blower for now. Is that possible? Or will the stock / minimum boost easily max out the injectors?

Also do you guys have a forum w/ users that can get me a head start on a tune? Or can I run the stock program while I tune? I plan on tuning everything myself and writing a small book on EFI tuning in the process.

I have a LS1 w/ Patriot C5 Z06 replica heads and a C6 Z06 cam.

Then I'll upgrade the fuel system when I feel like getting around to it.

Thanks!

If you are going with our system that is on sale right now for $5200, then you will get 60# injectors. We don't have a forum, we use HP Tuners here at the shop. They have a forum. We can get you a base tune that will get the car running, but will not be good enough for the car to go into boost.

What injectors do you guys use?

I'm actually looking at this guys kit:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-p...arger-kit.html

He says the inter cooler is better than yours but I don't like it. I'd probably sell the inter cooler and get a new one from you guys.

He also says it's missing the pinning piece.

But otherwise I think $3700 seems reasonable if it's what he says it is. However, I'm not sure what your options mean on your system. What is the basic setup for $5200 versus the added ribs, fancier blowers, etc? I'm not terribly savvy with the FI terminology. I basically understand boost, turbos, superchargers, and the big terms but not sure what ribs are and those model numbers.

Thanks!

We use 60# Siemens... i wouldn't say that cooler is better than ours, there are some design flaws in his, like the inlet.
For $5200 you get:
Vortech V-2 Si-Trim Supercharger
A&A Bracket System
A&A Ram Air Intercooler
60# Injectors
Spark Plugs
Boost A Pump or LPE Intank Pump
Vortech Maxflow Racing Blowoff Valve
All the ducting, hoses, clamps, hardware to make it fit!

Take a look here.

Seems like a good deal at $3700, but what warranty do you get with the supercharger? How old is it? What if it fails in 100 miles?

Exactly I'm not in a terrible hurry. It's been posted for a while. I sent him a LONG list of questions.

It's almost worth waiting a while and just getting one from you guys that I KNOW is complete... but heck yeah he he'll give me a killa deal why wait.

Although I really dislike the inter cooler... even if yours isn't perfect it installs more cleanly.

Oh one thing. In your install instructions you guys replace the fuel pump on a 97-01 corvette. Is this necessary? Why do you do that? Is there more pressure in the newer pumps?

Thanks!

The new pump is 225 liters/hour @ 60 PSI.

What kind of power are we talking about with your baseline setup on an LS1?

Also I noticed your belt diagram on page 19 in the instructions doesn't show the Air Conditioning compressor. Do you have to stop using the A/C when you install one of your kits?

And that's what I meant. I really don't like the inter cooler he has. But I love the one you guys offer it looks like it integrates very nicely with the car.

Thanks for answering all my questions!

Manual trans you will see somewhere over 500. The A/C compressor is driven by it's own belt from the balancer. That's how it is stock.

Then as I want more power will I be able to use the same kit or would I have to swap out blowers?

Can a person just up the fuel and put a different ratio pulley on the blower? w/o purchasing a new kit?

If so how much power can you get out of your baseline kit as such.

Thanks!

We have seen S-Trims putting out over 600 at the wheel....

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-f...-2003-z06.html

You can put a smaller pulley later on easy enough... or go to a T-Trim... or go bigger!

I think I am the living example of pushing it to the edge as far as A&A's products go. How much power do you want to make ultimately & RELIABLY?

I made 671rwhp with S trim kit. If you want more than 750rwhp go with T trim to begin with.

Once again, my car has EVERYTHING that A&A has to offer from the motor to the fuel system and I am not that far away from you. If you want, you can come out and test drive my car and see for yourself if it scares you or not Ok test 'ride' would be a better choice

Steve, are you guys dropping the rad support a couple inches ? I have a customer that has torn two off the bottom of a stock(NOT lowered C6) due to the lower stance/reduced clearance of the support/skid bar. Please PM me for details, just trying to clarify if all the Pulley driven huffers have to do this mod in order to feed air to the inlet ?

Yes we lower it 15/16" in the front and 1 1/4" in the rear.

I used to live in rapid city I'd love to come see it but I'm a bit far from Pier now.

Are you running a stock motor with just fuel upgrades? I'm looking at a kit a guy has with a D1sc although I have no idea what kind of supercharger that is.

A D1SC is a Procharger... Along the same lines as the Vortech T-Trim.
