Default Methanol nozzle location preferences and trunk or underhood mount?

Does anyone have any worries if you install the nozzle in the rubber coupling boost might leak some at the 2 piece nozzle bung? Ive seen a couple pictures of guys drilling/tapping the throttle body as well and of course having to also drill a hole in the rubber coupling end and clamp which looks like it doesn't leave much clamp width left so could this be a problem for sealing coupling to throttle body with high boost?

I converted mine to a 2-bar and installed it in the intake pipe ( which is longer due to no MAF) where the MAF would be.
I just didn't want you to think no one was reading your post.
Sorry I can't help you more.

I have mine in a metal ring that goes inside the rubber coupling. Rock steady. No leaks.

I inserted a piece of tubing inside the coupler to give the nozzles a solid mount. Now I have them mounted in the metal tube close to the intercooler (SD tune).

My meth nozzle is installed into the rubber tubing.
I drilled a smaller size hole into the tubing and screwed the nozzle into the tubing for a snug fit (rubber tubing expanded around the nozzle when I screwed it in.)
Sandwiched the tubing between two washers and tightened the nozzle over it.
So far I'm up to 14.5 psi.

Made a new pipe, had a friend TIG a bung for the meth nozzle. Got a new IAT sensor and split it from the MAF. Meth goes between the MAF and IAT.

I used a 90mm TNT nitrous ring (goes on the front of the TB) and plumbed both nozzles into that.

Here is how I plan on setting mine up. This is from a Z06 I saw last week:

In this setup, the ALKY is sprayed BEFORE the AIT; and AFTER the MAF. This is to provide an extra safety. If the ALKY pump either runs out, or dies, the AIT will sense a sharp rist in air temp, and the PCM will cut back on the timing to save your engine. I love this idea!

I got mine in the Airbridge but my buddy has his in the rubber coupling (After MAF) on his '04 and it works perfect!

I have mine before the IAT sensor and a 2 BAR SD tune, that way the Meth will reduce temps on the sensor!

You cannot spray Methanol through the MAF if you are going to use your MAF! It'll kill it (This is only if you did not already know this )

Thanks,Matt

I wish the Alky companies would produce more attractive meth nozzles than the brass one most use,I know its a little detail but it really bugs me to see this under the hood of these very well built cars . Has anyone blown one out of a rubber connecting boot yet ? and just out of curiousity since we are on the subject, are they being mounted in the rubber boots due to convenience or lack of a solid, hard surface mount ? Anyone spraying meth into the intercooler or near the outlet of the intercooler(2 BAR of course) ?

need to search...but makes sense to me ....it seems in the pic the meth nozzle and the iat are really close by....the stream of meth wont have a chance to hit the iat sensor properly....Quote ecs"leave as much room as possible between each componant" maf ,meth ,iat.......i will look for some details later.....some guys even drill and tap the intake just after the tb and install a iat in there and place the meth nozzle in the stream after the maf....personally i relocated my maf to just over the a&a intercooler and the placed my meth and then my iat
