Any interest in a Custom Dewitts rad for the blower guys?

You know I'm in for one Arun.
Give me an eta. I have a 3-core Dewitts rad already, but I'd like to get it replaced when I put everything together in a few weeks.

Hi Ron, for your car all you would do is just swap rads and trim the silicone hose going into the blower so it's striaght instead of angled upwards. You may need a new inlet pipe-maybe, those around $75, but that's a maybe. You could also stand the rad back up to move it away from the intercooler-that would require cutting the center portion and moving it back then rewelding.
I'll look and see what the differences are in the cradles-standing the rad back up would be the best for cooling.

If your not on the list and you should be-please add your self. I'm going to get in touch with Tom@Dewitts to see what kind of ETA were going to have once we have 10 people.
Jet-I'll post a pic tonight were I mounted my tranny cooler-it's a perfect spot for an oil cooler because we mounted OntarioVette's there and it works great. We used a Derale stacked plate cooler with -10 AN inlets.

Great idea, where was this 4 years ago
Only 1 question, what do you do for fans? Won't this make the stock fan shroud 2" too tall, can you trim it to fit and still maintain the integrity of the shroud?

Yes you would just trim off the top. I was thinking of making up a custom shroud for the fans to utilize two 12" Spal fans. As soon as I get my rad I'll look into this.

I'm intersted, but need some information. I'm running a stock radiator with the ECS Paxton kit. What modifications will I have to make? Will I go back to the stock radiator support? What parts need to be modified and do I need to purchase any additional new parts to install?
Thanks, Gordon

Arun....
That's a good idea. That would look super clean...a custom aluminum shroud on that radiator. I will have to do the same.
Come on guys....there's got to be one more person out there to add to this list!

Yes...installing two Spal fans would also help with cooling...Arun..let me know what Spal fans to buy...I'll get Champion to install this complete package.

Also, I kinda disagree with Arun on the internal oil coolers. Our cooler works just as good as some of the external air type and we offer complete hose kits for them as well. Arun is right about running cooler with an external but that's because you dump the engine oil heat into the coolant. I think the radiator is big enough to take it, especially if you upgrade the fans too.
Below you can see the stock GM (z51) cooler vs our unit

The internal are limited in size because they must fit inside the end tank. The engine oil heat load is transfered to the coolant, so the coolant temps will run 10-20 degrees hotter but I feel the oversize radiator can handle that. These are compact and cost less.
The external type can be as big as you can fit in so obviously you can remove more heat with one of these. The heat is not completely transfer to the radiator, so the coolant temp will be lower. They are big, cost more, and you might need a thermostat or bypass for colder climates because they could over cold.
