Here in Austin they have to plug a diagnostic computer into the OBD port to check for codes to get an inspection sticker. I've heard as long as it doesn't throw a check engine light you should be ok. My car doesn't have a check engine light but with the switch to speed density is the computer going to read this as a problem. Thanks for the help.
It will show syatem readiness tests as incomplete or "Not ready" And here at least you need to have seven of 8 ready.Oh,and you CAN get a SD tuned car to pass the readiness tests,I do it every year.

No it does "NOT"! I thought the same thing but it does not work that way!
Now with mine I need to slap my MAF back on and install my "SMOG" tune and put on my oil cap (I have the breather cap on there right now).
I keep all the stuff in a small box labled "SMOG TUNE/TIME BOX"
Then when I'm done I remove the MAF and put on my oil breather cap and reload the performance tune and away I go

I live in Austin too, and thats what Im going to do. Just reenable your maf and you should be good to go...unless there are a few other things that I need to do (I havnt come up with a smog tune yet, so what all should be reenabled?)
